Forest Connections is run by Biodiversity Partners and supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine under the Forestry Promotion scheme 2024.

Biodiversity Partners is run by Cathy Eastman.  It was established in 2020 to provide professional biodiversity education, community outreach and consultancy around South West Ireland.  This includes the connections between biodiversity and growing food; dissemination of information and training around the need for biodiversity and how to identify, maintain and increase biodiversity; education and training of primary, secondary and third level students and teachers, including Continuous Professional Development and teacher summer courses; ecological restoration and landscape design with communities, schools, individuals and municipal bodies; Community Biodiversity projects.
